What Is a Traditional Sauna Session?

A traditional sauna session involves sitting in a heated room at temperatures between 80°C and 100°C (176°F–212°F) for a structured period. The dry heat penetrates deep into your muscles and joints, raising your core body temperature and triggering your body’s natural recovery responses.

At Go Sauna & Ice Bath, your sauna session is completely private. You’ll have the space entirely to yourself in a calm, clean environment. Sessions typically last 30 minutes, giving your body enough time to fully relax, sweat, and reset without feeling rushed.

Whether you’re an athlete recovering from training, a professional looking to unwind after a long day, or someone who simply wants to prioritise their health, a traditional sauna session is one of the simplest and most effective ways to support your body.

OUR MOST POPULAR OPTION FOR A REASON

What Is Contrast Therapy?

Contrast therapy is the structured alternation between heat (sauna) and cold (ice bath) within a single session. You’ll move between the sauna and ice bath in timed rounds, typically spending 10–15 minutes in the heat followed by 1–3 minutes in the cold, repeated for 2–3 cycles.

This hot-cold protocol creates a powerful “vascular pumping” effect: heat causes your blood vessels to expand (vasodilation) while cold causes them to contract (vasoconstriction). This rhythmic cycling flushes metabolic waste from your muscles, delivers fresh oxygenated blood to your tissues, and triggers a potent recovery response throughout your body.

Contrast therapy is our most popular service — and for good reason. It combines the best of both sauna and ice bath into a single, time-efficient session that leaves you feeling reset from head to toe. Sessions last approximately 45–50 minutes and are completely private.

Ice Bath

Controlled cold exposure to reduce inflammation, speed recovery, and sharpen your mind.

What Is an Ice Bath Session?

An ice bath session involves submerging your body in cold water maintained between 2°C and 9°C (36°F–48°F) for a controlled period. Cold water immersion has been used for decades by athletes to speed up recovery, and recent research has shown its benefits extend far beyond sport — improving mood, reducing stress, and supporting immune function.

At Go Sauna & Ice Bath, your ice bath session is private and guided. If it’s your first time, we’ll walk you through exactly what to expect, how to breathe, and how long to stay in. There’s no pressure to push past your limits — we’ll work at your pace.

Cold exposure is one of the most powerful natural tools for resetting your nervous system and kickstarting recovery. Whether you’re dealing with post-workout soreness, mental fatigue, or just want to feel more awake and focused, the ice bath delivers.
